HTC Phones - A brand guide

When it comes to HTC, it is one of the greatest Mobiles Cell Phones manufacturers of the moment and they have brought a lot of phones on the market, which, ever since they were launched, caught people’s attention and let them know that this is a brand that promises a lot and will certainly have a successful future. HTC stands for High Tech Computer Corporation and its Chinese form is.....


In its inception, HTC was a Smartphone manufacturer and the phones they would produce, featured the operating system of Microsoft (Windows Mobile software), though that came to a sudden halt when HTC announced that they would produce smartphones that will incorporate the Android operating system.


More to that, HTC is also a member of the Open Handset Alliance, which is a group of Mobiles Cell Phones network operators and handset manufacturers that mainly focuses on bettering the Android mobile device OS. The first phone produced by HTC that also incorporated their famous Android operating system, was the T-Mobile G1 and it was marketed by T-Mobile.

 



In its early stages, HTC was an original design manufacturer which delved into selling mobile phones like the HTC Wizard or the T-Mobile MDA, but also the Cingular 8125 and they would work with telecom operators which paid a contract manufacturer in order to be in for customized products. Even though many HTC devices are commercialized under the HTC brand, HTC’s goal and focus is to still produce smartphones. Every time when HTC would announce that they would release a product, there was a big stir that was caused among the population and the media was very much interested in any little bit of news about the upcoming events. This stands as a solid proof that HTC is a very important name in the industry and its name certainly weighs a lot on the mobile phones market nowadays.


HTC very much celebrated February 17th 2010 when it was declared as the 31st most innovative company on the planet by Fast Company and for each and every one of their Latest Cellular Phones are just mind blowing devices. Reports from Bloomberg stated that HTC is still in doubt if they should focus on designing their own operating system in order to be able to compete with other operating systems, like the ones provided by Apple, Windows and Google’s Android.
